Slow-Cooked Lamb with Rhubarb {with pressure cooker option}

lamb

Actually, the title of this recipe is a bit of a misnomer since I made it in the slow cooker. You can find the original, which is made in an oven, here. Or continue reading for my adaptations.

Honey Mustard Chicken & Rice Pilaf

I chose this recipe from Clean Eating Magazine because one can never have too many kale recipes. And it sounded good.

Middle Eastern Meatloaf

This was one of the first recipes I made when I first bought Simply in Season, and it remains one of my favorites. I just love the combination of spices.

Don’t you just love skillet dinners that you can throw together in a snap? This is just such a dish. Although it takes awhile to simmer, the amount of active time is practically nil.

Wild Rice Vegetable Bake

This is one of the recipes I made for the potluck at the Franklin Farm. DH was quite disappointed that he wasn’t going, but he did get some leftovers.

When I saw the title of this recipe in Simply in Season, I had to smile. For some reason it reminded me of the Red Green Show. Or maybe Christmas. Regardless, the ingredients are simple, hearty, and works as a side or main dish. Eh. It’s just one of those good recipes to have in [...]

Black Bean Dip

dip

Despite what the photo above may lead you to believe, this black bean dip is super yummy. It’s just kind of hard to photograph some things, ya know? I tried taking a picture of it in a tortilla, as that’s how I ate it for lunch, but that pic didn’t turn out much better:

Autumn Tagine

Just the other day someone was asking me what to do with squash other than roasting it and adding sugar. Although this recipe calls for sweet potato, I think it would be equally as good with butternut squash. And, it goes together fast!
