Garden Update – Early August

You might be wondering what happened to my garden while I was away for 2 1/2 weeks in Uganda. Well, DH did manage to keep it alive–thanks honey! However, it was a bit overgrown.

Another $100 for lumber later, we now have 4 more beds. The photo above is of last year’s, which I cleaned up on Saturday and planted with peas, carrots, lettuce, kale, and the Asian stir fry mix. Those little seeds are buggers! Hoping I can thin them out later.

How Does My Garden Grow? 6/20

My lettuce has bolted. I hacked it off in the hopes it would grow back. We'll see!

I also planted some cilantro today in some leftover space. Hopefully I’ll have better luck now that I know it bolts quickly. This post linked to Things I Love Thursday
