Remember the squash that I cooked in the slow cooker the other day? This recipe used up about 3/4 C of it. Yes, it uses white sugar and white flour. So I’m not linking it up to any of the “real food” linky parties. But it is sooo good.

I’m sure many people buck the green bean casserole trend; unfortunately, my family is not among them. Even DH, who has admittedly become quite a bit more crunchy along with me over the past couple of years, puts his foot down when it comes to what to make his family for Thanksgiving. And so, I can only imagine, what I would serve if the menu were completely up to me.

I am not what you would call a “mixologist.” I love local wine and beer, so mixed drinks are rarely served at our house. But this one sounded good enough to try!

Just the other day someone was asking me what to do with squash other than roasting it and adding sugar. Although this recipe calls for sweet potato, I think it would be equally as good with butternut squash. And, it goes together fast!

I love homemade cheesecake, and what says autumn more than pumpkin? Chocolate too? I couldn’t wait to try this recipe!
