This is the second peach pie I made last weekend. How did it compare?
Eating and living locally . . . mindfully . . . simply.

I’m republishing this recipe from last year because I was recently given a large sorrel plant from my friend Holly–I see another batch of this in the near future!

I chose this recipe from Clean Eating Magazine because one can never have too many kale recipes. And it sounded good.

This recipe is based on a whole bunch that I found online. I had to bring a dish to pass and there was a large bag of quinoa from Costco in my pantry just begging to be used; so I searched for various recipes and cobbled together something based on what sounded good to me.

When the Culinary Arts College at Baltimore International College invited me to test one of their recipes, I knew as soon as I saw it that I would get DH to try the Barbeque Rib Sauce. This recipe is adapted from The Art of Simple Food: Notes, Lessons, and Recipes from a Delicious Revolution. As much as I don’t want it to be winter yet, I was able to use mostly produce from last week’s CSA pickup.

The recipe for whipped squash from Simply in Season calls for 4 C cooked butternut squash, 2 T butter, 1 T brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon. Beat until smooth. But how does one cook squash in the first place?
