This is seriously my favorite way to have mixed greens yet! I am definitely acquiring a taste for the bitters, and this pizza was fabulous.

I looked over the recent recipes I’ve posted, and boy, am I getting lazy! And despite my best efforts, I have not made a dent in the greens. I’m going to have to freeze some. My next pickup is tomorrow, yikes. I find myself putting greens in EVERYTHING. As an example, here’s my go-to breakfast during CSA season.

For awhile my husband had a Sam’s Club membership through work. We hardly ever used it. Then I took a class with Chef Amy at our farm, and was introduced to a number of great items that you can buy at Costco. I have no idea if it saves us any money, but it sure is convenient. I had the privilege of attending the Coalition of Supporting Indigenous Ministries (COSIM) conference this week. So inspirational! The highlight by far was the session led by Steve Corbett, co-author of When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty without Hurting the Poor . . . and Yourself.

I’ve been told that people appreciate hearing about when things don’t go well in the kitchen, that it makes food bloggers seem more real. I’m pretty honest about how things turn out, and whether it’s the recipe or operator error. So in the spirit of full disclosure, I am sharing with you my most recent epic fail in the kitchen.

I now know why gardening can be so addictive. There is so much to learn! I think it’s going to be a life long process for me. I apologize for the advanced gardeners out there–these tips probably seem so . . . “duh.” Without further ado, this is what I learned this week:
