Venison (or beef) Meatballs

I am so thankful for DH. I was making this for Sunday dinner to bring to my parent’s, when I realized that the ground venison we got out last night wasn’t thawed. So he drove to the store to pick up some fresh ground beef. Dinner was saved!

Source: Simply in Season

2 lbs ground beef
2 eggs (slightly beaten)
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup onion (chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder

1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup onion (chopped)
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic (minced)

1. Mix ground beef through chili powder thoroughly and form into 1 inch balls. Place in a shallow baking pan.

2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meatballs. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.

Servings: 8

The Verdict: I was a little worried that they would be dry, because the sauce was only enough to put a little on top of each meatball. However, they were not dry at all and had an excellent flavor.
