Aww shucks: Beautiful Blog Award

Elle at A for Effort gave me the Beautiful Blog Award. Isn’t it beautiful?

I found Elle’s blog through SITS, a commenting community which is a great place to find interesting blogs. I love her blog, for some reason I can really relate to a lot of her posts.

The rules for this award are that I have to tell you 7 interesting things about myself and pass it along to 7 other bloggers.

Hmmm, interesting things about me that you wouldn’t know from my blog already. That’s a toughie.

1. My niece’s name is Elle (what a coincidence, eh, Elle @ A for Effort?)
2. I have three younger sisters and no brothers. Yes, I suffer from oldest child syndrome.
3. Because of my work, I’ve traveled to Honduras, India, Bangladesh, Malawi, Nigeria, Zambia, and Uganda.
4. I have participated in two sprint distance triathlons, and hope to do an olympic distance this summer.
5. I have the best husband in the whole world. He claims I just think that because my first husband set the bar so low, but I know better! DH is so supportive and has always encouraged me to follow my dreams.
6. I never thought I would learn to cook, much less enjoy it . . . even less have a cooking blog! Goes to show anything is possible.
7. We have two Italian Greyhounds, Grigio and Nero, who are littermates. Their photo is below. They are the cuddliest boys ever.

Now, on to the seven blogs that I think are beautiful.

1. thecreatives.org by one of my best friends, Holly. She can always find the beauty in anything, is super creative, an artistic soul, and is a huge inspiration to me.
2. FarmGirlCyn one of my first followers and fellow Trillium Haven CSA member. I love her blog, it makes me happy just reading it. That reminds me, I need to buy some of her handmade soap one of these days.
3. Cara’s Cravings makes me hungry every time I see her photos.
4. Kitchen Jam. I  “met” Pat on the Problogger forums . . . and her blog astounds me with its creativity.
5. Naturally Knocked Up. Donielle is a fellow West Michigan blogger and invited me to a blogger get-together recently. She’s so nice, and her blog is great – I’d love to be that Nourishing someday (but not knocked up. Her blog still has great info for healthy living even if you’re actively trying to NOT get knocked up .
6. Drink Beer, Think Beer by Patti. A fellow Michigan foodie DINK.
7. biggirlbombshell.com by Jules. I love her attitude and illustrations.

So there you have it, a listing of my top 7 blogs! If you didn’t see your name there, don’t feel bad. It was tough to choose from the hundreds of blogs I follow!
