		<description>I&#039;m combining sensible calorie restriction with real food. I have to say, I have come to love plain rice cakes as a &#039;blank slate&#039; for various toppings: almond butter w/sliced bananas, canned drained tuna mixed with salsa, Laughing Cow cheese w/ homemade roasted red pepper slices....yummers. But, they are for my snacks, not my meals. 

I&#039;m totally on board with &#039;real food eating&#039; - I just make better choices and consume less of each thing than I did when I was steadily gaining!</description>

I&#039;ve been doing Weight Watchers since right after Christmas, and I told myself when I started that the only way this was going to happen is if I could do it without sacrificing my food principles - in other words I was not going to buy specially engineered products, I was just going to eat good food and keep track of how much fat I cook with and my calories.  It&#039;s been completely easy to do so, too.  It&#039;s interesting to see the difference in the way my mother and I do WW because she buys all the special no fat, Splenda-sweetened WW yogurt (which is NASTY and has strange chemicals in it) and I buy Fage 0% which is made with exactly two ingredients, skim milk and bacteria, and add homemade jam to it.  As soon as I find the time I&#039;m going to start making my own yogurt but I&#039;m happy with that for now.  I&#039;m also skimming the raw milk I get and using the cream for special projects that I can share with people.

Keep doing what you&#039;re doing and don&#039;t be afraid to tell people about it.  I think when women who are on silly diets hear about people losing weight while eating real food, it gives them hope that they don&#039;t have to live on rice cakes forever, and what better way to inspire people?

		<description>I think you are right, but sometimes to lose weight I resort to the low fat alternatives, even though I feel like its not as good for me.  But having the extra weight feels worse.  When I am at a healthy weight I eat whole foods.</description>

Because I&#039;m going to quit 2 hours into my diet. I want to lose weight the realistic way, while eating realistic food. I can commit to a lifestyle change, but I want it to be a realistic one. Give me real food, please!
