This is almost like mine except I very naughtily add a knob of salted butter at the beginning, obviously ramps up the calories but is absolutely incredible. Yes I did say salted butter the one over here contains a tiny pinch of salt but it adds a certain something to sweet dishes and in this case a sweet drink! I have Pakistani friends and they made the most gorgeous tea; I tried to copy them but it just lacked a certain something; they then told me the secret ingredient is a pinch of salt.

Oh my, I love hot cocoa! I use Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa powder and mix it with sugar to make my own hot cocoa mix...and add in a little of my own vanilla (made from brandy). Yum. I'll have to try your recipe for hot chocolate!

This sounds awesome! I've actually been looking for a good hot cocoa recipe. With all the cold, I've finally used the last of my favorite cocoa mix, Ghirardelli's Double Chocolate Cocoa. I will definitely be making some of this tonight! Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday, also. I'm definitely bookmarking yours!

Good recipe, however I made up my own. I use a third cup of water, two T of cocoa and I fill the rest of it with milk.
